Orifice Pan Distributor is the most conventional liquid distributor. Gas passes the plate through risers while liquid flows through holes on the floor. Pressure drop across this distributor is typically 0.2-0.6 in water, and the standard design has a turndown ratio of 2:1. Taller risers can be used if higher turndown ratios are required. It is not recommended for fouling applications.
